Each year at Cheryl’s we created new Ohio State themed gifts to expand and update the collection for our central Ohio brand. These gifts use Ohio State licensed logos, graphics, colors and icons, and must be approved by the University before production. I created patterned boxes, tins and hangtags.

Every year, we also created a new ceramic cookie jar and mug for the collection. The cookie jars were the most time intensive, taking a year to create from the initial designs to the final production. Our process for these was to start with reference photos and sketches, then flat designs, then 3D mockups, and finally releasing art to the vendors in China. From there, we connected with the vendor to ensure that the molds, colors and final ceramics were to our standards. We collaborated on these with our merchandising and purchasing teams. The Stadium Jar and Brutus jar are two of the top 10 most successful OSU cookie jars that Cheryl’s has sold to date.
