Cheryl’s Fall 2017 woodland scene + Packaging

For Cheryl’s Fall 2017 line, our merchandising team asked us to feature a fox character and his woodland friends in the collection. I began this project by researching illustration styles and woodland creatures that were currently trending in fall gifts and stationery. Then I sketched out variations of the animals to get the right personalities and simplified facial features. After that, I created the characters by painting textured watercolor washes, scanning them, and building the characters in Photoshop. I then created a scene of the characters in a beautiful fall, forest scene. I created the rest of this collection based on the woodland scene, incorporating complimenting plaids, watercolor textured leaves and hand-lettering.
